Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and versatile Content Writer Intern to join our content team. This role is ideal for a writer with at least 1 year of experience in creating engaging content, eager to craft stories that inspire learning and community building in an edtech space. As a Content Writer Intern, you will develop high-quality written materials—from blog posts and social media captions to newsletters and educational guides—that drive user engagement and platform growth. You'll collaborate with marketing, product, and design teams to ensure content aligns with Intellyjent's voice and educational goals. This internship provides hands-on writing experience, editorial feedback from experts, and the opportunity to build a strong portfolio with published work in a collaborative, remote setting.

Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Research and write compelling articles, blog posts, and guides on educational topics such as study techniques, career development, and collaborative learning trends. Tailor content to diverse audiences, including students, educators, and lifelong learners.

- Social Media & Short-Form Writing: Craft engaging captions, threads, and stories for platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Twitter, highlighting user stories, platform features, and quick learning tips to boost community interaction.

- Email & Newsletter Development: Assist in creating email campaigns and newsletters using tools like Mailchimp, focusing on personalized content for user retention, event announcements, and curated resource roundups.

- SEO Optimization: Incorporate keyword research and SEO best practices into content to improve search visibility for educational queries, collaborating with the marketing team to target high-impact topics.

- Editing & Proofreading: Review and edit content from team members and interns for clarity, grammar, tone, and alignment with brand guidelines. Ensure all materials are accurate and engaging.

- Content Strategy Support: Brainstorm ideas for content calendars based on user feedback, platform analytics, and edtech trends. Contribute to brainstorming sessions for multimedia content, such as infographics or video scripts.

- Research & Collaboration: Conduct in-depth research on emerging educational topics (e.g., AI in learning or remote collaboration tools) and work with cross-functional teams to integrate user-generated content or expert interviews.

- Performance Tracking: Monitor content performance metrics (e.g., views, shares, time on page) and gather insights to refine future writing strategies.

Required Qualifications
- Experience: At least 1 year of hands-on content writing experience, gained through internships, freelance assignments, personal blogs, or contributions to publications (e.g., educational newsletters or social media series).

- Education: Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program in English, Journalism, Communications, Creative Writing, or a related field.

- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in writing and editing tools like Google Docs, Grammarly, or Microsoft Word.
- Basic knowledge of SEO tools (e.g., Google Keyword Planner) and content management systems (e.g., WordPress).
- Familiarity with social media platforms for content distribution.

- Soft Skills: Exceptional writing and storytelling abilities with a keen eye for detail. Strong research skills and adaptability to different formats and tones. Ability to meet deadlines in a remote, team-oriented environment.

- Other: Genuine interest in education and social networking; a portfolio with 2-3 writing samples (e.g., articles or social posts) is required.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with multimedia content (e.g., scripting for videos or co-creating podcasts).
- Knowledge of AP Style or Chicago Manual of Style for editorial consistency.
- Exposure to analytics tools like Google Analytics to inform content decisions.
